Through this work, participants learn to consciously access their internal world and their Spirit Self. The Medicine Wheel offers a Model, a blueprint of living in harmony and wholeness together as groups of people. These teachings offer systems and tools which facilitate more organized and, at the same time, more organic ways of working together to produce effective results.
Among the tools used in deepening these teachings are shamanic journeying , medicine walks, writing exercises, conscious movement, trance dance, drumming, chanting, healing sounds, conscious breathing and silence.
The medicine wheel symbolizes the sacred circle of life, within which all humans and all our relations in all kingdoms live in balance, harmony and interrelatedness. The Medicine Wheel teachings offer people a reminder, a re-membering of how we can live, act and be together in a more sacred and honouring way. It reminds us that all of life, that all aspects within ourselves and outside ourselves weave together to create an intelligence, creativity and potential that is greater than the sum of their parts.
Earth, Water, Fire and Air: The medicine wheel teaches us that earth, water, air and fire, body, emotion, mind and spirit need to be in harmony. It gives us maps and tools to bring ourselves, our families and our world back to peace and balance.
The Age of Conscious Co-Creation: One of the Mayan prophesies that speaks about this time of great changes on Mother Earth is that the people of the four colors of corn (the red, yellow, black, and white peoples) that inhabit the Earth need to come together to bring their contributions to the world community. It is only by honouring our differences and recognizing our sameness that we can heal our conflicts in the world. It is only by coming back to the perspective that we are all children of the Earth and we are, collectively, the guardians of mother earth that truly sustainable solutions can be created and implemented. The medicine wheel symbolizes the sacred circle of life, the sacred circle within which all humans and all our relations in all kingdoms live in balance, harmony and interrelatedness.
Dreaming a Peaceful World: The medicine wheel offers us a lens of togetherness. How can we be together in peace and oneness at this time on the planet when we desperately need to, but when everywhere we look there is conflict and opposition? We can’t make the conflict go away, but we can change our perspective and begin to see how and where the similarities lie. When we judge the conflict to be negative, we are in conflict with the conflict and we are contributing to the conflict and generating more conflict. When we see the conflict as symptomatic of the deep pain and wounds of disconnection and as a cry for help, we begin to soften our hardened hearts and begin to bring peace and compassion to the world, for those who cause the most pain are those who are in the most pain and are in deep need of compassion, truth and healing.
The Sacred Circle: The medicine wheel symbolizes the sacred circle of life, the sacred circle within which all humans and all our relations in all kingdoms live in balance, harmony and interrelatedness. The Medicine Wheel teachings offer people a reminder, a re-membering of how we can live, do and be together in a more sacred and honouring way. It reminds us that all of life, that all aspects within ourselves and outside ourselves connect weave together to create an intelligence, creativity and potential that is greater than the sum of it’s parts.
Creating Sacred Space: As part of these teachings, the group creates sacred space and draws on the power of the Medicine Wheel to invoke together the energies of the Earth Mother, Sky Father, the Sun God, Goddess Moon, the directions, the elements, the devas and spirits of nature as well as deities, spirit guides, power animals and our helpers from the Angelic kingdom.
